Use of History
You may download and run the Windows binary to search Codex rollout files that you are authorized to access. History reads those files and creates a local derived index and pins. It does not provide a remote history account or cloud backup. The source code is not part of the public binary package.
Your content and security
You remain responsible for the conversation files on your computer and for deciding which excerpts to bring into a Codex or ChatGPT conversation. Keep your computer account secure. Historical passages and tool output are source material; review their context and later corrections before relying on them. Do not use History to access files you are not authorized to read or to interfere with another person’s device.
Availability and changes
History is provided without a fee and may change as Codex’s local file format or host support changes. We may update the download and these terms. A new version’s terms will be dated on this page. You can stop using History at any time and remove the derived index as described in the privacy notice.
Limits
History may miss, group, or misread passages, especially when a source file is incomplete or a parent conversation is unavailable. Check important conclusions against the original source. To the extent permitted by applicable law, History is provided as is, without a promise that it will always be available or error free. These terms do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
